On Saturday, October 6, the Michigan State College Libertarians will host the 2012 Students For Liberty Michigan Regional Conference at Michigan State University. This all-day event will bring together over 100 students to hear from top pro-liberty speakers, network, and share ideas about how best to run and promote liberty-oriented student groups on their college campuses.
Students are standing up and taking the lead in the fight for personal and economic freedom. The average young person identifies as fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and many more are beginning to identify with libertarianism. However, the fact is not just that there are more libertarian students; it is that they have finally organized. They are working to educate and coordinate their fellow students to work together in building a robust student movement for liberty.
There is an incredible line-up of speakers including U.S. Representative Justin Amash and Michael Reitz, the Executive Vice-President of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. There will also be topic and activism break-out sessions, a student leadership panel, free books, three free meals, and a social to follow the conference.

I’ll be there and everyone else in the area better be too! I’m looking at you Justin and Rachel.
