he may be your little leftist hero and you may not want him to be extradited because of that, but I’m sorry, accusations of rape should be listened to in every case as they are almost never false even when they’re thrown out
even if it was not using or removing a condom - it’s still a breach of consent
this is why leftist men cannot be trusted, they’ll give unwavering support to powerful leftist men which allows them to get away with shit.
also don’t trust anyone with a big liberalesque media campaign behind them
Question: Without the power and notoriety from Wikileaks would he be allowed to miss hearings concerning rape?
Yes, I agree the media is manipulative but you can never write off rape.
Because anyone with eyes recognizes that Britain and the United States aren’t pressuring for his extradition because he didn’t remove a condom. Even if he were innocent of those charges, he would be in the hands of those who have Bradley Manning, and he would be treated likewise for the same reason.
You guys simply don’t have the facts.
Julian Assange is wanted by Sweden authorities for molestation charges only. The rape charge was dismissed shortly after the warrant for his arrest went out. What are the facts according to the Swedish government and Julian Assange? That Assange had consensual sex without a condom. No one was raped or forced to have sex against their will. The women who came to the police in Sweden were asking if they could compel Assange to take a test for STDs which somehow warranted the prosecutors to claim Assange needed to be arrested for rape and molestation. If this were the circumstances of any other individual the issue would have been resolved out of the courts years ago. But because Assange exposed a government coverup of the the killing of innocent people in Iraq he gets treated a little differently.
This isn’t about rape or molestation. The women that “accused” him of it eventually retracted their statements because they claimed they were “railroaded” by the police and Swedish prosecutors. The extent that I see the right defending the actions of the government is really disheartening. An open and free press is fundamental to a free society and a limited government. You would think that they would be on Assange’s side in exposing the corruption of the U.S. War Machine but instead they call it treasonous and call for his execution. It’s hypocritical.
