I understand that you guys have some problems with Paul Ryan but come on, calling him a statist neo-con smacks of desperation. Also for all of you Ron Paul supporters: the primary is over. Your choices are Obama/Biden or Romney/Ryan. It’s one or the other. It’s time to pick a side.
The Libertarian attitudes have gotten to the point where I will be changing my registration back to Republican as soon as the race is over. I would do it sooner but I want to make sure that I can vote. I for one will be glad to be a member of the party that installed Romney and Ryan into the White House. Yes, I still have some differences of policy with the Republican party (gay marriage, drug laws, patriot act) but I will not be a party to some of the craziness that is currently emanating from the Libertarian movement.
I know I’m probably going to lose some subscribers because of this post, but I’m fed up with this nonsense.
The primary isn’t over. The nominating process ends at the RNC at the end of this month. And according to the RNC rules, Ron Paul should be on the ballot next to Romney. In the past we didn’t know who the nominee was until the convention. I’m not choosing Romney or Obama (a vote for one is a vote for the other).
Your morals are flimsy and superficial at best if you’re willing to sell your values down the river at the drop of a hat. Romney/Ryan are going to be Obama on steroids. Obama is already Bush on steroids. You can bend and break on your own moral compass but don’t throw the rest of us under the bus in the process.
I’m not voting for either of them because I’m not going to live the rest of my life with the blood of innocent people on my hands. I’m not going to propagate the systemic wealth redistribution (top down or bottom up). If you want to contribute to the two party system be my guest but speak for yourself at least.
I guess it’s fitting that you would vote for Romney/Ryan, two individuals who dropped their principles at the sign of any hardship. Voters like you are why we can’t have nice things.
